On The DC School Vouchers
It is our position at the 1776 project that affording people, regular Americans, a choice in how their tax dollars should be spent when it comes to education is one of the singularly most important topics of our time. We believe, along with other freedom loving Americans, that as parents and members of society we should be allowed to send our children to a school of our choosing without having to cover the entire cost of private tuition as well as paying taxes that go to our local schools on our own. We believe that allowing people to have access to school vouchers - a program where the government uses the same dollars allocated towards federal education and re-allocates that money in the form of vouchers which are redeemable at both public and private learning institutions - is in keeping with our ideals regarding freedom and self-reliance. Take a look at this video from reason.tv.
